Pakistan-France cooperation in Higher Education is benefitting Pakistani students: envoy

PARIS, JUN 14 (DNA) – Pakistan-France cooperation in higher education sector is expanding with more and more Pakistani students choosing French Universities of higher learning to pursue their Masters and PhD degrees.This was stated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque while addressing the opening ceremony of Presentation of final PhD thesis by five Pakistani students held in Campus France, Paris, today.

PEMRA allows AIOU to run its own TV channel

ISLAMABAD,  JUN 14 (DNA) – Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Muhammad Saleem Baig formally handed over Non-commercial Satellite TV Channellicense to Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) at a ceremony held here.On the occasion, Registrar AIOU Dr. Muhammad Zaigham Qadeer signed licensing document, while PEMRA was represented by its Director General Wakeel Khan.

PM Imran khan meets Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Sharipovich

Speaker refuses to immediately issue production orders of Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The chances of Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Zardari for attending the session of National Assembly are low as speaker Asad Qaisar has denied to immediately issue production orders despite insistence by PML-N and PPP leaders.According to sources, speaker Asad Qaiser wanted to issue production orders of Asif Zardari for Monday’s session but did not assure PPP delegation for Friday’s session.

Orange Line train: SC orders return of bank guarantees to contractors

ISLAMABAD, JUN 13 (DNA) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Thursday ordered return the bank guarantees of the construction companies working on the Orange Line Metro Train project.A three-member bench, headed by Justice Azmat Saeed, presided over the hearing of the case.When the bench questioned about the current status of the construction work, the court was informed that the civil work of the project has already been completed, and the contractors have assured that the remaining work would be completed in time.
