Pakistan has not put Somalia in negative list: sources

ISLAMABAD, MAR 18 (DNA)-. The sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan have dispelled the impression given in a  section of the press that Somalia has been put in the negative visa list.It may be mentioned here that according to some websites, it was reported that according to new visa policy, Pakistan along with India has also put Somalia in the negative list.Sources say the news is correct only in the case of India while for Somalia no such decision has been taken.

ISLAMABAD, MAR 17 (DNA) – Spell-binding band performances and delicious delicacies of various Francophonie member countries added color to the Francophonie Festival held the French Culture Center.Embassies of Argentina, France, Tunisia, Belgium and Switzerland displayed various items at the stalls. Visitors enjoyed home-made delicacies especially prepared by the spouses of the ambassadors for the event.Visitors literally pounced upon the Tunisian stall when it was opened for people. A variety of Tunisian delicacies and traditional Tunisian handicrafts attracted audience in large number.

President Masood condemns Christchurch terror attack

MUZAFFARABAD, MAR 15 (DNA) – Sardar Masood Khan’ President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has condemned the harrowing massacre of Muslims at Al Noor and Linwood mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand and term it as an act of terrorism, xenophobia and racism.“New Zealand will take years to heal its wounds. The world must agree on a strategy to fight Islamaphobia”, he wrote in a post on Twitter in his reaction on Christchurch incident where forty-nine people have been shot dead and 48 others injured during Friday prayers.The Islamaphobia is much more pernicious and widespread than the anti-Semitism, Khan said and added that Muslims becoming targets of terrorism all over the world and now in most peaceful nations.

PM Imran condemns terrorist attack at mosque in New Zealand

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attack at a mosque in Christchurch which left around 49 Muslims dead.In a tweet, he attributed such terror acts to the post 9/11 Islamophobia under which the 1.3 billion Muslims of the world are being blamed for any act of terrorism by a single Muslim individual.The Prime Minister said the attack is also deliberate attempt to demonize legitimate Muslim political struggles.Imran Khan said the incident has reaffirmed our claim that terrorism does not have any religion.On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi also condemned the terrorist attack in New Zealand in strongest terms.

Iran’s Rouhani hails ‘special’ ties with Iraq ahead of visit

TEHRAN (DNA) – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani on Monday described ties with Iraq as “special”, as he prepared to travel to Baghdad on his first official visit to the neighbouring country.Rouhani’s three-day visit comes as Iraq has been under pressure from Washington to limit ties with its neighbour, particularly after the United States withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal and hit Tehran with sanctions.”Iran-Iraq relations are special,” Rouhani said at Tehran’s Mehrabad airport, state television reported.
