Turkey felicitates Shahid Abbasi on assuming office of PM

ISLAMABAD, Aug 21 (DNA): Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan S. Babur Girgin Monday delivered a letter of felicitation to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi from the Turkish President, on assuming his office. The Turkish Ambassador expressed the hope that upward trajectory of Pakistan-Turkey relations would continue its pace and would result into greater cooperation and collaboration between the two countries. The Turkish Ambassador also felicitated Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on his behalf and of his government, during the call on at the PM Office.

Premiere of documentary ‘Dancing with Snow’ held in Serena

ISLAMABAD, AUG 20 (DNA) – The Pakistan Air Force Ski Federation hosted a premiere of the documentary ‘Dancing with Snow’ in collaboration with Serena Hotels. The 15-minute film promotes skiing on the exceptional slopes of Pakistan and the event was attended by local and foreign dignitaries and enthusiasts of winter sports. The Vice Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Asad Abdur Rehman Lodhi, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and took the opportunity to highlight the wonders of Northern Pakistan which is home to 5 of the world’s 14 highest peaks.

Week-long Turkish Food Festival begins at Islamabad Serena Hotel

ISLAMABAD, AUG 19 (DNA) – The Islamabad Serena Hotel, in collaboration with the Embassy of The republic of Turkey, inaugurated a week-long Culinary Art Turkish Food Festival at the Grand Zamana Restaurant.The experts of Turkish cuisine were transported from the one and only Ottoman Imperial Palace and Hotel on the Bosphorus, Çırağan Palace Kempinski located in timeless Istanbul, Turkey. The Islamabad Serena hotel was delighted to welcome sous-chef, Serdar Öngel, chef de partie, Davut Kutlugün and pastry chef and chocolatier, Servet Kanat, who are the experienced chefs exclusively came for this festival from the magnificent Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul.

Please share with our readers brief history of the celebration of the day?

It is a very distinctive day for Morocco and its whole nation, from the city of Tangiers in the North Western part to Lagouira in the southern provincesof the Kingdom;it is one of the most celebrated days of the year. It’s the 18th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI (sixth) enthronement. I would like to give an overview of the Moroccan political system then to reveal some highlight events of the Moroccan diplomacy and finally to present some facts on the economical field.


EU says Iran deal sound, all parties stick to terms

BRUSSELS, AUG 03 (DNA) – The European Union, which supervises the implementation of the landmark July 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, says all parties to the agreement remain committed to its implementation. Catherine Ray, a spokeswoman for EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, said on Thursday that the EU was on the opinion that all the seven parties to the agreement had implemented their commitments and would do so in the future.

The apex court of Pakistan on July 28, 2017 finally announced the much-awaited and much-anticipated verdict in Panama case in which the court not only disqualified the sitting prime minister Nawaz Sharif  but also ordered  constitution of sixteen cases against him and his family members. The court also directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file references within six weeks and the accountability court pronounces verdict/s within six months thereafter. Therefore, in the present circumstances future of the former prime minister and family appears quite bleak.

Canadian Envoy, Perry Calderwood visits RCCI

RAWALPINDI, JUL 25 (DNA) -There was a tremendous potential to enhance trade between Pakistan and Canada as both countries have significant trade volume and longstanding economic relationship. “Pakistan and Canada can enhance their trade and investment cooperation in different sectors including agriculture, renewable energy, mining and infrastructure etc. This was stated by High Commissioner of Canada Perry Calderwood during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Tuesday.
