Commander Polish armed forces calls on army chief

RAWALPINDI, MAY 21 (DNA) – Lieutenant General Jaroslaw Mika, Commander of the Polish Armed Forces called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ.Issues of mutual interest including defence, training and security cooperation between the two armies were discussed.Visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s professionalism, efforts in fight against terrorism and contributions towards regional peace and stability.

Indian troops martyr five youth in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR (DNA): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred five Kashmiri youth in Pulwama and Baramulla districts.
The troops martyred three youth, Naseer Pandit, Umar Mir and Khalid Ahmed, and destroyed a residential house during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Dalipora area of Pulwama district in wee hours, today. Another youth identified as Rayees Ahmed Dar was martyred and his brother, Younis Ahmed Dar, was injured in the firing of the troops in the area.

Pakistan relaxes visa regime for 48 countries

ISLAMABAD, APR 27 (DNA) – Pakistan on Saturday announced to have relaxed visa regime for 48 countries.Out of these 48 countries all nationals of five countries will visit Pakistan without any visa. These countries include Nepal, Maldives, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago and Western Samoe.

Names of Shahid Khaqan, Miftah Ismail put on ECL

ISLAMABAD: (DNA) – The Interior Ministry on Friday placed the names of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail on the Exit Control List (ECL).According to the Interior Ministry, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail’s names were placed on the no-fly list on the recommendations of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

At least 129 killed, hundreds more injured in Colombo Easter Sunday blasts

COLOMBO: (DNA) – Easter Day bomb blasts at three Sri Lankan churches and three luxury hotels killed about 129 people and wounded more than 400, a hospital director and police officials said, following a lull in major attacks since the end of the civil war 10 years ago.In just one church, St. Sebastian’s in Katuwapitiya, north of Colombo, more than 50 people had been killed, a police official told Reuters, with pictures showing bodies on the ground, blood on the pews and a destroyed roof.

PM Imran Khan to inaugurate Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in Quetta

PM inaugurates Radiation and Oncology services at SKMCH, Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated Radiation and Oncology services at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) in Peshawar on Friday afternoon.He also went around different sections of the hospital and inquired about the health of patients including those from Afghanistan.Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the facilities available at the hospital.Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan were also present on the occasion.
